PUBLISH is pleased to announce it has signed a memorandum of understanding with GRID, metaverse platform development company and subsidiary of AIITONE.

In keeping with the spirit of web3 and metaverse technologies, discussions were held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual meetings, the latter taking place via a metaverse platform developed by GRID.

Under the agreement, PUBLISH and GRID will develop a new blockchain-based metaverse platform for the news media industry and explore new business opportunities in both the public and private sectors in Korea and abroad.

Commenting on the partnership, PUBLISH CEO Sonny Kwon said, "Blockchain technology will become the fabric of the metaverse and play an increasingly important role in connecting virtual identities and avatars with physical identities. We look forward to leveraging our expertise in the areas of blockchain and DID [decentralized identifier] technology in building a state-of-the-art metaverse platform for the news media industry."
