PUBLISH is pleased to announce that Singapore-based global cryptocurrency exchange BingX is to list NEWS token. Trading is expected to commence at 17:00 on June 7th, Korean Standard Time.

BingX, previously known as Bingbon, boasts a global user base of some 5 million users and a daily trading volume of approximately USD 7.5 billion.

In 2022, the exchange adopted CODE, a travel rule solution developed by major cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, to comply with the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) travel rule requirements.

As a leading crypto exchange offering services in spot, derivatives, copy trading, and grid trading, BingX operates in more than 100 countries and regions.

NEWS token plays a vital role in the PUBLISH Protocol ecosystem. It is used for minting NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and powering various blockchain-based applications such as PUBLISH iD and PUBLISH link. PUBLISHiD is a DID-based service for journalists, while PUBLISH link is a web widget that rewards news readers with NEWS tokens for reading and sharing articles.

PUBLISH, established in 2018 as a response to declining newspaper revenues and closures, is a global technology media company. Since its inception, it has developed several blockchain-based solutions for the newspaper industry, including but not limited to a DID-based press credentialing system for journalist-members of the Journalists Association of Korea and the Korea Internet Newspaper Association. More recently, PUBLISH announced future of journalism based on blockchain at "World Journalists Conference 2023” and signed a memorandum of agreement with the Mongolian Journalists' Federation to develop a DID-based press credentialing system for the local Mongolian media industry.

Commenting on the listing, PUBLISH CEO Sonny Kwon expressed the company's commitment to expanding the PUBLISH Protocol ecosystem globally through its partnership with BingX.
